What is Warli Art Form?

Warli painting is a style of tribal art mostly created by the tribal people from the North Sahyadri Range in Maharashtra, India. This range encompasses cities such as Dahanu, Talasari, Jawhar, Palghar, Mokhada, and Vikramgad of Palghar district.


What are the Warlis famous for?

The Warlis speak an unwritten Varli language which belongs to the southern zone of the Indo-Aryan languages. The Warli people are famous for their beautiful and unique style of painting which reflects the close association between human communities and nature.
