Still Life

 


A still life (plural: still life’s) is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject matter, typically commonplace objects which are either natural (food, flowers, dead animals, plants, rocks, shells, etc.) or man-made (drinking glasses, books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, etc.).I have here made a still life with a jar, fruits and leaves. Usually, it is done with pencil shading or oil pastels. The preferable company for the oil pastels is 'camel' because it gets smudged very nicely.
